THE CORONAVIRUS

 COVID-19 (COrona VIrus Disease- 19), is an ongoing pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‑19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‑CoV‑2). The disease was first identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, China. The World Health Organization declared the outbreak a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on 30 January 2020 and a pandemic on 11 March. As of 17 September 2020, more than 29.7 million cases have been reported in 188 countries and territories, resulting in more than 939,000 deaths; more than 20.2 million people have recovered. The disease mainly spreads through human contact and unhealthy hygiene. Being the main news of 2020, this pandemic has brought quite a change to a number of lifestyles by closing out events, malls, gyms and public places etc for a while.
